There is power in our stories, and I share this one with the hopes that I will help someone to feel less alone.

For years, I told myself my past didn’t matter. Other people had it worse, right? But trauma doesn’t disappear just because you ignore it. It hides in your body, your choices, your triggers — until one day, you can’t outrun it anymore.
