Depression among individuals with Alzheimer’s, traumatic brain injuries (TBI), or those recovering from strokes often stems from a combination of emotional, social, and systemic factors. People are not only grappling with the life altering changes brought about by their condition, but also with the environments they find themselves in and the way others perceive and interact with them.

From serenading the elderly in care homes to jamming with stroke survivors, adults and children with SEND, and even the tiniest tots in preschools, I've seen firsthand the incredible impact music has on the brain. Music has always been my therapy... my good, reliable friend.
